Matrix Demonstrates Efficient Parmesan Cheese VFFS Packaging in Booth 727 at CheeseExpo 2022
Mar 25, 2022Matrix Packaging Machinery, a ProMach brand, will be showcasing its expertise with cheese packaging machines through a demonstration of its vertical form fill seal capabilities, as part of a larger integrated line simulating the packaging of parmesan cheese into a larger bag in booth 727 at CheeseExpo, April 13-14, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

At the heart of the integrated packaging line is a Matrix Premier Elete vertical form fill seal machine, which is ideal for customers who require more hygienic attributes in their packaging machine. The Elete Premier features a stainless steel, sanitary design with all major components, including fasteners, bearings, shafts, and motors suitable for washdown environments. The machine can produce several different bag sizes, such as pillow, gusset, quad, and flat bottom with a variety of films, including recyclable, at filling rates up to 120 bags per minute.
CheeseExpo attendees will see a simulated parmesan cheese line from start to finish. First, cheese passes through a Spee-Dee (https://www.spee-dee.com/) stainless steel auger, where it is then packaged on the Matrix Elete Premier vertical form fill seal machine. From there, cheese travels on a conveyor from Benchmark (https://www.benchmarkautomation.net/), a ProMach brand, and then is inspected on a checkweigher from WIPOTEC (https://www.wipotec.com/en/home/).
Show attendees will notice just how small of a footprint an integrated line of this size really is; it does not take up a lot of space in a facility, and it can be made more compact if necessary.
